Childhood dreams often play a role in shaping our adult aspirations. As a child, what were your dreams and aspirations, and how do they compare to the achievements and impact you are making today?
Believe it or not, as a child I wanted to be a police officer when I grew up. That’s where I feel my most desired aspect of public service and wanting to help people comes from. I admire those who wear the badge as they protect us selflessly and risk their lives by doing so. I did have a stint as a citizens auxiliary police volunteer where I helped people and saved lives so in essence part of the dream became a reality. However, due to being autistic and mentally ill I can’t be a cop so I did the next best thing by volunteering as a citizen sponsored by a police department.
Your journey as a successful entrepreneur and advocate for mental health and autism is inspiring. Can you tell us about your childhood and how it may have shaped your passion for these causes?
Believe it or not, as a kid I hated being special needs and standing out as I was always a victim of bullying which carries on into my adulthood too today. However, I think it’s cooler now to stand out of a crowd and be unique due to my autism and mental illness than fit into a normal crowd as being different is cool and unique.
Your involvement in sports and entertainment marketing is a testament to your passion for these industries. Were there any memorable childhood experiences or sports idols that inspired you to pursue a career in this field?
Yes, I loved the Miami Heat growing up, and getting the chance to represent my childhood idol in NBA Hall of Famer Tim Hardaway was a dream come true for me.
The Barry Mezey Foundation For Autism, Inc. is making a significant impact on the lives of individuals with autism and mental illness. Did you have any personal experiences during your childhood that motivated you to create this foundation and work towards its mission?
Yes! I wanted to do something special that followed in my mother’s footsteps when she created a special needs program for me at our local JCC when I was 10 years old as almost no resources existed at the time to help those with special needs.
Negotiating and procuring lucrative contracts for your clients requires exceptional communication and negotiation skills. How have these experiences influenced your interpersonal skills and leadership abilities as an entrepreneur?
Yes! They took years to develop though as was usually socially awkward in these situations so it took time to build up my confidence and one day I said fuk it! I’m just going to make it rain and I let loose and never looked back since that day.
Founding the Barry Mezey Foundation For Autism and creating the KWAN 2.0 token shows a strong commitment to mental health and autism advocacy. How has your involvement in these initiatives influenced your personal growth and outlook on life?
It has greatly. I didn’t always look on the bright side of life. My teenage years were quite depressing listening to grunge music and being an outcast. Then I started listening to music by Bon Jovi only to have Jon Bon Jovi be a complete d*#k towards me when I met him at the possible event with Elon Musk in April 2023. Another band I grew up loving is Live. Live saved my life so many times with their positive music and now I’m friends with the drummer Chad Gracey so it’s really cool getting to be friends with your idols as a child. This is the kind of stuff that shapes us into who we are as we continue to grow and learn daily in this game we call life.
Being a protege of Nyhl Henson and having his endorsement as an entertainment industry “wild card” is a significant achievement. How has his mentorship impacted your entrepreneurial journey and helped you grow as an individual?
A lot! Nyhl is a great guy and serves as my personal caregiver and mentor and is always there for me when I need his advice.
The KWAN 2.0 token is the world’s first cryptocurrency focusing on mental health and autism advocacy. Can you share the inspiration behind creating this unique project and how it aligns with your personal values and goals?
I created the token after we created our Vimeo and Roku channel B1GBTV. The idea behind the token was one morning I just woke up and said I want to create my own crypto token to change the world. So I did it in 24 hours. I had a crypto token and then it took a year to get to where we are today on exchanges with a $100M market cap and paying people with mental illness and autism in our token to be content creators giving them a job. It takes passion to do what I do. I never give up no matter how hard life gets. I’m not a quitter. I’m a doer!
With your hit comedy series on Roku and Vimeo channel B1GBTV and involvement in media partnerships, you’re making significant strides in the entertainment industry. How do you balance these ventures with your commitment to mental health advocacy and personal growth as an entrepreneur?
I just have to so I do it daily.
Founding Mezey Holdings, DBA, and establishing yourself as the #1 young gun top brand management agent are significant achievements. What are some of the core principles that have driven your success in building and managing strong brands?
Never give up, be a natural creative, be blunt and honest towards my clients, and be kind always.
Serving as a UN Goodwill Ambassador and volunteering on human rights and mental health issues are commendable contributions to society. How has this involvement impacted your personal sense of purpose and the role you see yourself playing in social change?
I just do what I can to help. I’m not special or Superman. I’m a nice humble guy.
You’ve been recognized as a top brand management agent and a social influencer with millions of loyal followers. How has managing your personal brand impacted your entrepreneurial journey and personal development?
I don’t share my secrets to my personal success about this stuff because then people rip off my ideas always. Sorry.
With such a diverse portfolio of ventures, some experts question whether you are spreading yourself too thin and if this might lead to diminished focus and effectiveness in your core initiatives. How do you manage and prioritize your projects?
I take one project at a time. But they are all intertwined and I get more done in a 5-hour workday than others get done in 8 – 12 hours because it’s not about the amount of time you put in. It’s rather about the productivity of your work and priorities.
As an entrepreneur with diverse ventures, what advice would you give to aspiring business leaders on managing and sustaining business growth while staying true to your mission and values?
Just be true to yourself and say fu*k you to the haters who don’t believe in you. It’s that simple.

I have a great team of advisors to help me with his stuff. Because the truth is I don’t know everything in or about business or life.
